The Banya Crystal, it was the key to our prosperity!

Miney

Banya Crystals are crystals that appear in Lavasteam in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter. According to Miney, they are the key to Lavasteam's prosperity, although the truth behind this statement is uncertain due to Salem's meddling. It is not known if or how these crystals are related to Banya and whether or not they are edible. However, some characters imply that they are.

TowerIcon.png AppearanceEdit

Banya Crystals are typically represented as semi-opaque blue crystals. In levels, Banya Crystals appear to be much larger than Raposa or the Hero. Here, Banya Crystals often grow in crystal clusters from the surrounding stone and rock.

Book Icon.png StoryEdit

In Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, King Miney had forced his people to mine for Banya Crystals after becoming close with Salem. According to many of the workers of Lavasteam, they had been mining for days on end with no breaks. When Jowee, Sock, and the Hero first arrive, Miney forces them to mine for Banya Crystals in Crystal Caverns before he would tell them where Cookie, Farmer Brown, and Count Choco were working. Eventually, Miney's and Salem's plans are undone by the combined efforts of Jowee, the Hero, Key, and Moe. It is unknown what part Banya Crystals played in the Lavasteam economy after this point.

TriviaEdit

  • Some of the dialog from the Lavasteam villagers implies that Banya Crystals are edible.
    • Ellen mentions that she sprinkles Banya Crystals onto her Banya pie crust to give it flavor.
    • Crazy Diggz mentions eating Banya Crystals as well, although this may just be due to his crazy nature.
  • In Drawn to Life: Two Realms, Miney mentions that he still pays his employees in Banya Crystals.
