Reduces a monster group's defence, albeit to a lesser degree per individual than Sap.

Dragon Quest II[]
Making its debut, the spell is learned by the Princess of Moonbrooke at Level 10. It costs 2 MP to cast and is also used by Drackmages, Goregons, Brainy Badboons, Whackolytes, Chasmonauts, Tyrannodactyls, Hargonauts, Frostburns, and Wrecktors in battle. It is also cast by Madusas and Malroth in the remakes.
Dragon Quest III[]
Acting the same as in II, it is learned at level 18-20 by both Priests and Sages. it acts the same as in II and costs 4 MP to cast. It costs 4 MP to cast, and is also used by Bullmustiffs, Mermen, Weaken Beakons, Lethal Armours, Skeleton Swordsmen, Goodybags, Abracadabrers, Iron Knights, and Merry Men in battle. It is also cast by the Boss troll during its boss fight in the remakes, as well as Terror trolls in the HD-2D Remake.
Dragon Quest IV[]
Kasap is learned by Borya at level 21-23, and is already known by Psaro upon joining. It costs 4 MP to cast once again and is also used by Crested Vipers, Skeleton Swordsmen, Pocus Poppets, Rhinoceraxes, Strangler Fish, and Pruslas in battle, as well as Decayurions in the remakes. Orifiela also knows the spell when fighting alongside the Chosen.

Kasap is learned by Bianca at level 7, Nera at level 11, Madchen at level 22, and Harry at level 6, and costs 4 MP to cast once again. It is also casted by Screwball Pitchers, Grudgerigars, Mandrake Majors, Mandrake Marshals, Orc pawn, Bjørn the Behemoose, and Grandmaster Nimzo, as well as Goodybags once again.
Dragon Quest VI[]
Kasap is learned by Ashlynn at level 12 while other characters can learn it by advancing to rank 4 of the Mage vocation. It costs 4 MP to cast once again and is also casted by Ruffled Goons, Lesser Demons, Brimstone Bulbs, Cutterflies, Wratihwands, Dreadstaves, Zombie Gladiators, Sculptrices, Murdaw, Brick, Commander Brutus, Third Test, Demon-at-arms, Terry, Blackmar, and Mortamor's second forme, as well as Goodybags once again.
Dragon Quest VII[]
Kasap is learned by advancing to Rank 4 of the Mandrake major and Rank 1 of the Slaughtomaton in the PS1 original. It costs 4 MP to cast once again and is also used by Forky Pigs, Pustules, Wingwyrms, Decayurions, Terracotta Warriors, Hellstalkers, Conkjurers, Mandrake Monarchs, Eyesaurs, Gobbler, the Skeleton squire in the Temple Palace, and Orglob, as well as Goodybags and Mandrake Majors once again. In the 3DS remake, it can also be learned by advancing to Rank 1 of the Hero and Ersatz Estark, Rank 3 of the Paladin, and Rank 5 of the Champion and Monster Masher vocations.
Dragon Quest VIII[]
Jessica Albert learns this spell after investing 7 points into her Staff skill tree. It costs 4 MP to cast once again and is also used by Buffalo Wings, Dark Sea Divas, Dark Turkeys, Blue Horns, Crème Caraslimes, and the Megalodons, as well as Drackmages, Goodybags, and Zombie Gladiators once again.
Dragon Quest IX[]
Kasap is learned by Mages at level 25 and Armamentalists at level 18. It costs 8 MP to cast, and will improve in accuracy once the caster's magical might surpasses 50. When the value reaches 799, the spell will be 100% accurate barring enemy resistance. It is also cast by Dark Skeletons, Grim Reapers, Bling Badgers, Ragin' Contagion, Yore, and King Godfrey, as well as Drackmages, Weaken Beakons, Brainy Badboons, Goodybags, Mandrake Marshals, Nimzo, and Murdaw once again.

Learned by Minstrels at level 20, Pirates at level 58, and by investing 3 skill points into a recruited Goodybag's Diamond of Trouble skill tree and 13 skill points into a recruited monster's Jakutai skill tree, it costs 4 MP to cast for the first time since VIII, and is also used by Bludgerigars, Envoys of Yama, Tree Sages, Buddhist Circuses, Splatypunks, Platinumimics, Jumbo drackmages, Knights of the White Rose, Araniad, Kukulkannibal, Monsterous Marine, Nelgel, Lower Ghost Soldiers, Heart Boiled, Brenda, Executioner Dobuna, Prickly pranksters during Murdaw's boss fight, and The one out of the Gate, as well as Drackmages, Weaken Beakons, Goodybags, Lethal Armours, Pocus Poppets, Cutterflies, Demon-at-Arms, Blue Fangs, and Blackmar once again. In the Offline version of the game, it is learned by the Hero in the Minstrel vocation at level 20 and is already learned by Distan when he joins the party.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Learned by Veronica at level 18 and already learned by Rab when he joins the party, it costs 4 MP to cast once again and is also used by Horknights, Gyldenbritches, Calasmonauts, Umbras, Drackies gone Vicious, Boodiful Wizards, Boodica's left-hand man, Boodica's right-hand man, Rab's Shadows, Sinderella gone Malicious, Erdrick's restless armour, Nimclops, and the Timewyrm's Tail, as well as Drackmages, Chasmonauts, Skeleton Swordsmen, Lethal Armours, Abracadabrers, Mermen and Splatypunks gone Malicious once again.

Dragon Quest Swords[]
Known as Diminishield in this game, it is cast by Drackmages once again, though unlike other games, it shrinks the Hero's shield for a period of time if it hits, but can be blocked or hitting it back at them.
Dragon Quest Heroes[]
Mostly an enemy-only spell, it is used by Drackmages and Boss Trolls once again, though it can also be used by players when they obtain a Drackmage's Monster Medal.
Dragon Quest Heroes II[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by investing 12 skill points into Maribel and Lazarel & Teresa when the Twins of Unos have become Mages. It costs 10 MP to cast, and is also used by Drackmages once again both as an enemy and when using its Monster Medal.

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it can be equipped to any weapon and is also used by Cherry slimes, as well as Drackmages and Gyldenbritches once again.
Dragon Quest Tact[]
Learned by Drohl drones at level 32, Mud mannequins and Goodybags at level 16, Frostburns and Zombie Gladiators at level 22, Sculptrices at level 18, and Slimeshrooms at level 44, it costs 14 MP to cast and acts the same as in previous appearances once again.
Dragon Quest Treasures[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by Shadows and Dread drackies at level 30, costing 15 MP to cast.
Dragon Quest Champions[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by Mages at level 20. It costs 9 MP to cast, and is also used by Drackmages and Zombie Gladiators once again.
