Donk is a spell introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2. When cast, it reduces an enemy's HP by a fixed amount. Resistance to this spell is based on accuracy, rather than damage mitigation. Its successors, Kadonk and Kadonkle, have a significantly higher crushing power.
The spell first appeared in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, creating a high-pressure gravity field to attack the opponent.

Dragon Quest X[edit]
Donk makes its main series debut as an enemy exclusive spell. It costs 18 MP to cast, and will deal 75% of a character's maximum HP as damage.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2[edit]
Donk costs 12 MP to cast and affects one group of enemies, dealing 25% of the target's current HP. As such, the spell will deal immense damage if a target is at full health, and inflict paltry wounds if they are already weakened. It can be learned from the following skill sets:
- Bjorn (35 points)
- Cursader (10 points)
- Diabolist (10 points)
- Muspell (16 points)
- Rigor Mortex (25 points)
- Ruin (78 points)
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3[edit]
Donk requires 2 MP to cast, but now only reduces the target's HP by 1/8th.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Donk appears as Popp's Coup de Grâce. It can be learned at level 74 and costs 139 MP to use. This spell is based on its appearance in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. It has a range of three squares in front of him and inflicts major typeless spell damage to all enemies in a range of a 3x3 square with a high chance of binding them, too. Since it is a Coup de Grâce, it takes 3 turns to charge and can only be cast once per battle. Upgrading the spell increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to cast.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds[edit]
Donk appears as a Special Move for Popp and the Luminary Leader. It is a long-range attack over a wide area that inflicts magical Strike damage four times and lowers the target's Strike Resistance by 50% on the last hit. The main way to unlock the skill is by obtaining the Shining Staff from limited Treasure Hunts.

Donk can be known naturally by Umbras, Emerald king slimes, and Wight kings at level 1. It costs 4 MP to cast and creates a gravity well centered around a single enemy, dealing gravitational magic damage to any enemies caught within it.
