Alabaster (アラバスタ Arabasuta) is a member of Ishigami Village. He is the husband of Dia and the father of Ruby, Sapphire, and Garnet.
Appearance[]
Alabaster is a man with wavy, swept-back hair that is slightly bushy and is tucked behind his ears. He has sideburns going down to his jaw that fade towards the very ends. He has a bulbous nose with a low bridge. His eyes are wide and rounded, with a visible upper eyelid crease. He has very arched eyebrows of uneven thickness. He has wrinkles above his eyebrows, around his mouth and accentuating his chin. His mouth is quite wide with a slight divot under his lower lip. He may be balding slightly.
The outfit he first appears in consists of a long, forest-green tunic, with a ragged bottom hem and a popped collar that shows the brown interior of the fabric. The second one, shown during both Grand Bouts, has him wearing a shorter tunic and pants. In both, he has rope tied around his waist like a belt and wears the village rope around his neck, wrapped once and tied in the front.
Personality[]
Alabaster is a cheerful man who is usually shown smiling. He interacts with many of the other villagers and is rarely shown near the same person twice.
Abilities and Skills[]
- Boatman: Alabaster was first introduced on a boat with a wicker basket full of small fish. It is likely that he is somehow involved with the village's fishing, boating or transport like most of the men.

Titan and Alabaster fishing.
Alabaster is first shown standing on a boat near Titan during the anime's villager introductions. They don't appear to have any fishing rods on them but have baskets full of small fish and grey-black pots, possibly bait. The boats are large half-logs, hollowed out with a single outrigger log on the side. Alabaster is holding an oar, ready to head out onto the lake.[2]
He also appears during the Grand Bout flashback as part of the crowd cheering on the combatants. He didn't seem to have any preference between Hagane and Magma as a winner during the fight, but when Magma brings up Ruri's death he looks upset.[3] During the main Grand Bout, Alabaster shows up as part of the crowd in several places.[4] He also reacts in shock with everyone else when Senku immediately divorces Ruri.[5]
When everyone is celebrating around the bonfire, Alabaster is in the centre waving two sticks and dancing between Hagane and Argo. He also appears shocked then claps happily when Kaseki manages to down a whole container worth of alcohol on his own.[6]
After Homura burns down most of the village, Alabaster is shown carrying planks of wood for rebuilding.[7] In preparation for winter, Alabaster is also shown carrying a basket next to En.[8] When they test the phone, Alabaster is listening in on Ruri's side.[9]

Trivia[]
- Alabaster is named after a soft mineral that is often used for carving, keeping with the fact that all other members of Ishigami village have names referencing metals and crystals.
- Alabaster never physically appears in the manga, only on the villager introduction page in Chapter 17.
