Kremwood Forest is the second world of the Northern Kremisphere in the game Donkey Kong Country 3. It is a forest taken over by the Kremlings. The boss of this world is a large spider named Arich.
The area is a healthy forest, with many extremely tall trees and a river. The Kremlings also appear to have set up a lone mill in the forest, likely to use the lumber from the forest.

Stages[]
Barrel Shield Bust-Up[]
Stage swapped with Springin' Spiders in the Game Boy Advance version of the game Donkey Kong Country 3.
This is a giant hollow tree stage based on, as the name suggests, Barrel Shields. Dixie and Kiddy Kong need to climb up long vertical ropes, and Minkeys will throw nuts at them. The Minkeys often appear in a row, and the way they time their throws is usually tough to get by without the aid of a Barrel Shield. When climbing the Kongs may encounter several Minkeys and Barrel Shields, where they must climb behind them in order to protect themselves from the enemies tossing nuts.
Riverside Race[]
Riverside Race takes place on a riverbank. The stage has many grounded parts and swimming segments. The primates will be also chased by a small swarm of invincible Killer Bees while navigating through most of the stage. If the heroes clear the stage under the time of 1:15:00, and visit the Brother Bear Brash, he will get mad over the Kongs beating his record and reveal the path to the Banana Bird Cave of this world.
Squeals On Wheels[]
Being the only mill in the world, it is quite different from other mill stages. Early into it, the player will notice a Sneek on a wheel. Using a Steel Keg to defeat the enemy will unlock the door ahead and make a red meter nearby to deplete. The rest of the stage is done in a fairly similar fashion by proceeding through the location, finding more Steel Kegs, tossing them at the Sneeks in order to progress, until the primates deplete the meters entirely and reach the end. The Animal Buddy Parry the Parallel Bird also debuts here, during the final section of the stage.
Springin' Spiders[]
Stage swapped with Barrel Shield Bust-Up in the Game Boy Advance version of the game Donkey Kong Country 3.
The stage takes place inside giant hollow trees. The objective is to climb to the top of it by using Nids, harmless spider enemies that jump highly (hence the stage name) and carrying board planks above them. They must be used to get up the platforms. Buzzes, green and red are found throughout the stage. A hidden Animal Barrel can turn the heroes into Squawks the Parrot, allowing to fly and spit eggs at enemies.

Bobbing Barrel Brawl[]
The last regular stage of Kremwood Forest also takes place on a riverbank. The Kongs will go through it mainly as Ellie the Elephant, hopping through the lakes by usually landing on floating barrels, all the while being hunted by Nibblas below in the water. If Ellie misses jumps and lands into the water, she is capable of swim by floating, however, it is unlike she can get out harmless when Nibblas are nearby. The same lakes also do provide places to stock up on limited water ammo for Ellie's shooting attack. Except for red Buzzes and Nibblas, all enemies could be defeated by the attack.
Arich's Ambush[]
The boss stage is located outside giant trees. The boss Arich is a giant spider. He moves by jumping and the primates must avoid contact with the lower ends of the boss' front legs. When the boss comes down at first, the heroes must jump on his back by bouncing on the top of the legs, grab a Wooden Barrel and fall down. Then, at the right time, they must move under his legs and let the barrel collide with his face. It can done easier by Dixie who holds it upwards. Later, additional single barrels will appear on a branch at the top right corner of the arena. Arich's body must be used as a stepping platform again in order to reach it. However, Kiddy can also use the Team-Up move to throw Dixie upwards and reach the branch. If the Kongs take too long to grab the barrel at the top of the arena and fall down, Arich will spit single green globs which bounce around trying to harm them. After receiving a few successful attacks, the boss will stay briefly at the top of the screen and spit series of green globs downwards. Arich will repeat this shooting attack every time the primates grab a new barrel and fall back to the bottom of the stage. Besides avoiding harm from touching the green globs, the heroes must also avoid the same projectiles braking the barrels apart. It can be done safely by just putting them down on the ground when the projectiles are moving around. Arich will be defeated after taking a total of four hits, and the player will earn a Patch.
By visiting the Funky's Rentals carrying the item, the player will unlock the Hover Craft and be able to reach the worlds Cotton-Top Cove and Mekanos.

Trivia[]
- Kremwood Forest is most likely named after the Redwood Forest[1], located in the state of California of the United States.
- In the GBA version of the game Donkey Kong Country 3, the "angry tree" in the world map of Kremwood Forest which serves as location of the boss stage Arich's Ambush has spiderwebs around the tree, hinting that the boss will be a spider of some sort.
