- Halflings gain a moderate racial bonus to saving throws to end effects caused by fear keyword powers.
- Nimble Reaction
- Halflings gain a minor racial bonus to AC against opportunity attacks.

- Halflings gain second chance as an encounter power.

The halfling ability bonus was originally to both Dexterity and Charisma.[PH:44] The Essentials update and subsequent books changed the bonus to Dexterity, and either Constitution or Charisma.[U :E]
