When Analyze Portal is performed, the ritual caster chooses a portal he or she can see, and learns information about the portal depending on the Arcana check result.

|---|---|
| 15 or higher | precision characteristics of the portal |
| 20 or higher | access characteristics of the portal |
| 24 or higher | name of the portal's destination |
| 30 or higher | time since the portal was last used, and the origin, type, and keywords of the creature that used it |
| 35 or higher | the other side of the portal, up to 24 squares in distance, becomes visible to the ritual caster, regardless of the portal's transparency |
| 25 + half the ritual caster's level | keys, if any, to open the portal |
| 30 + half the ritual caster's level | nature of the event or identity of the creature that created the portal |
