Total Failure Inc. (or simply Total Failure) is a fictional detective agency used by Timmy Failure in the 2020 Disney+ original film Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made. It is a fictional organization which Timmy uses to help "solve" cases which he uses in his imagination in the real world.
Background[]
Founded by Timmy Failure using his imagination, Total Failure is an imaginary detective agency that Timmy founded in his mind with Total serving as his business partner. Often throughout the film, Timmy would often begin makeshift cases in completing makeshift assignments using his imagination, such as the case of "stopping" Corrina Corrina's plans which he believes that she is a bad influence who tries to ruin his reputation (which the real Corrina is actually nice to him) or when Timmy tries to find the missing Failure Mobile in the bank (which was actually later revealed to be parked in a no parking spot in an inventory). However, it turns out that Timmy was putting his imagination in the real world, often getting him into trouble such as his claims of Corina planning to deactivate all the power at the Bonneville Dam. These consequences started making Timmy act like a normal person so that he could learn from his mistakes and stop pretending to be a real detective agent like in his imagination.
Role in the film[]
Timmy Failure runs the Total Failure agency using his imagination to look for "cases" and "solve" them during his life in Portland, Oregon. Such cases involve him attempting to "solve" them using his imagination while being raised by his mother Patty Failure such as his task to find Gunnar's backpack or bury Hammy Ham (the class hamster who passed away from natural causes). However, Timmy puts these "cases" on hold when his mother Patty was having trouble finding her missing Segway, the Failure Mobile. Timmy believes it was placed in a bank vault where he recruits Rollo Tookus to find it, unaware that there are security guards patrolling the bank, which Timmy finds out that it was not inside. Timmy later negotiated with Molly Moskins, one of Timmy's classmates, about the missing Segway case, which Molly offers him to support Animal Awareness Month, which he accepts.
Another "case" Timmy also has for his challenge is Corrina Corrina whom he claims that she is trying to sabotage his agency, making Corrina his nemesis as well as running an organization titled "Evil Inc." - unaware that Corrina is actually nice. Timmy would often call his imaginary friend "Total" to provide him backup when a challenge occurs such as during his moments at the bank or during the Bonneville Dam, often referring to him as "Papa Bear".
After Timmy received a three-day suspension at the Carverette Elementary School, Patty tells her son to stop pretending to be a detective agent and act like a normal person so that he could stay out of the imaginary world. Following this, Timmy fears that his agency was shut down, miserable that he was unemployed after this. Additionally, Timmy allows to lay off Total, sending him to the Oregon Zoo, like where a polar bear should be while treating him as a wild animal. However, when it turns out that Corrina gave Timmy an owl-shaped cookie for a fundraiser of Animal Awareness Month and tricked her by placing a device on the cookie, this leads Timmy to resume his case of the missing Segway as well as rescuing Total from the Oregon Zoo so that he could continue his assignment with help from Crispin. Timmy rescues Total from the zoo and then finds the Failure Mobile at a no parking area at an inventory to fulfill his goal, followed by Timmy arriving at Cathedral Park to deliver a speech about allowing imaginary friends at school, impressing everyone. Following this, Timmy believes that Corrina kidnapped Mr. Crocus who was missing from class, leading Timmy and Total on another Total Failure assignment to "rescue" him.
