The Standard Parade is a promotional animated short from 1939, made for Standard Oil's Disney character marketing campaigns.
In the same manner as the Parade of the Award Nominees short from seven years earlier, Mickey Mouse leads the parade, except this time it is with various other Disney characters holding signs and banners to promote the campaign.
Being released at the start of 1939, this commercial notably marked the first time Fred Moore's redesign for Mickey and Minnie appeared in animation, having debuted in the Mickey Mouse newspaper comic strip almost two weeks earlier on December 22, 1938. (Society Dog Show, the last cartoon short to use Mickey's original black-eyed design, would be released a month after this.)
