Mario Michael Lopez, Jr. is an American actor, voice actor, and television host, who is best known for his role as A.C. Slater in the NBC sitcom Saved by the Bell (1989-1993), being the runner up on the third season of Dancing With the Stars, for being anchor of the syndicated entertainment news program Extra, since 2008, and for hosting the MTV competition show America's Best Dance Crew (2008-2012) and the Fox/NBC reality show The X Factor. He also voiced Social Smurf in the 2013 Sony Pictures live-action film The Smurfs 2.
For Disney, he currently hosts the annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade special, since 2011. He also voiced Cruz in Elena of Avalor,[1] as well as guest-starred as himself in Bill Nye the Science Guy and the Walk the Prank episode "My Dad is Cooler than Your Dad". He also guest-starred on The Golden Girls for Touchstone Television.
