Lauren Keyana "Keke" Palmer is an American actress, voice actress, singer-songwriter, and television personality. She is best known for her roles as the titular protagonist of the Nickelodeon sitcom True Jackson, VP (2009–2011), as well as Zayday Williams in the Fox black comedy horror series Scream Queens (2015–2016).
Her first role was as the niece of Queen Latifah's character in the 2004 MGM comedy-drama film Barbershop 2: Back in Business. She is also well-known for playing Nikki Grady in Madea's Family Reunion, Akeelah Anderson in the 2006 drama film Akeelah and the Bee, and Emerald "Em" Haywood in the 2022 sci-fi horror film Nope. Additionally, she voiced teen/young adult Peaches in Blue Sky's Ice Age franchise, Aisha in the Nickelodeon dub of Winx Club, and Stylee in Bubble Guppies.
For Disney, she played Mary Thomas in Jump In!, along with Corbin Bleu, as well as sang two songs for her Disney Channel Original Movie: "It's My Turn Now" and "Jumpin'". She can also be heard in Disneymania 5 singing "Reflection" from Mulan. Additionally, she starred in an unaired pilot called Keke & Jamal in 2005, and voiced Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder and Izzy Hawthorne in the 2022 Disney/Pixar animated film Lightyear. She signed a record deal with Atlantic Records and is currently working on her debut music album. She was also added as a substitute host in the ABC news program Strahan & Sara, but was so popular that the show became Strahan, Sara & Keke.
