Kazimierz Kazimierczak, also known as Kazi Kazimierczak, or just Kazi, is a Marvel Comics character who made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the Disney+ show Hawkeye. He served as the second-in-command of the Tracksuit Mafia under William Lopez and later his daughter Maya Lopez after William's murder. After Maya discovers he knew her father would be murdered, he begins to attack her, but she is able to repel the attack and stabs him in the stomach with an arrow. It is currently unknown if he died of his injuries.
Kazi Kazimierczak was created by Matt Fraction and David Aja.
Background[]
Sometime in 2007, Kazi began practicing karate at Brooklyn Karate Academy in New York City, where he eventually met Maya Lopez. After losing a match, Kazi began to talk to Maya, only to find out that she is deaf. Maya then began to translate what he said into sign language, with Kazi imitating. Kazi also told her that their fathers worked together, and the two quickly became friends.
Years later, Kazi was able to learn American Sign Language to communicate with Maya, and later joined the Tracksuit Mafia, eventually becoming commander William Lopez's second-in-command. He also began working for Trust a Bro Moving Company, which was a cover job for the mafia, and Sloan Limited, a company that launders money for the mafia.
In 2018, Kazi was one of the survivors of the Snap. Hawkeye, who now went by Ronin, embarked on a killing spree against members of various organized crime organizations. Kingpin, the leader of the Tracksuit Mafia tipped off Hawkeye the location of their headquarters, and informed Kazi of his plan, and therefore was not present the night Hawkeye murdered several members of the Tracksuit Mafia, including William Lopez.
After William Lopez's death, Maya became commander of the Tracksuit Mafia, which angered Kazi, since he was his second-in-command, though he hid these feelings from Maya and became loyal to her and remained second-in-command.
Physical appearance[]
Kazi is a young male of Polish descent. He has black curly hair, a thin beard and mustache, and multiple tattoos on his neck and arms. Being a member of the Tracksuit Mafia, he also occasionally wears a tracksuit.

Hawkeye[]
Kazi, along with several other members of the Tracksuit Mafia were ordered by Maya to steal a Rolex watch from a Black Market auction that was going on during a charity gala. After they broke in, Kate Bishop, who put on the Ronin suit that was for sale at the auction, began fighting the members, and was able to run off with them chasing her, and briefly escaped. Soon after, the mafia relocated her, but they were defeated by Hawkeye. Despite that, they were able to find and steal the Rolex, making the mission a success.
The same night, the mafia was able to successfully capture Hawkeye and bring him to their new headquarters, which was an abandoned warehouse. Kazi watched from upstairs as another member named Ivan Banionis interrogated him unsuccessfully. After Kate fell through the roof of the warehouse, Ivan informed Maya that they captured them both, and Kazi walked alongside her as she went to the lower level to speak to them. Maya began interrogating Hawkeye, though he was not fluent in sign language, so Kazi translated for him. After a brief discussion, Maya began to choke Kate, though Kazi was able to stop her.
After the interrogation, Hawkeye is able to escape, with all the members present chasing him except for Kazi, who held Kate at gunpoint after she was unable to escape. During this, Hawkeye is able to shoot an arrow past his ear, which broke Kate's restraints and allowed her to break free. Kate and Kazi then began to fight, though Hawkeye shot an arrow at him, temporally wounding him, and the two were able to escape.
After escaping the warehouse, Kate and Hawkeye stole one of the cars in the parking lot and drove off with it. The members of the Tracksuit Mafia followed them, with Kazi riding with Ivan in a Trust a Bro Moving Company truck. The truck was struck by many trick arrows, including a putty arrow and a cable arrow. Despite this, they were able to keep up with Hawkeye and Kate until the back of their truck was destroyed by a giant arrow. The members got out of their vehicles on the bridge and began firing at them, though Hawkeye and Kate were able to escape on a train.
After the failed pursuit, the mafia had to switch headquarters because Hawkeye and Kate now knew where it was. As they were relocating their stuff, Kazi began telling Maya that pursuing Kate Bishop (who she thought to be Ronin) was dangerous, but she batted away his comments, telling him she was the one in charge, not him.
A few days later, Kazi leaves a building and heads inside his car, only to find Hawkeye in the backseat with Kazi's gun. Hawkeye begins to tell Kazi that the real Ronin who killed Maya's father is dead and that her desire for revenge would get her killed, and that Kingpin did not want the attention drawn to him. Angered by this, Kazi quickly reaches into the sun visor to take out his knife, but Hawkeye reveals he has it. Hawkeye then leaves, telling Kazi to tell Maya to stop hunting for Ronin. Kazi asks for his gun back, but Hawkeye throws it as far as he can.
After Maya is involved in a fight on the rooftop of a building next to her apartment, he treats her wounds and tells her she doesn't have to act tough around him. He also partially takes Hawkeye's advice and tells Maya that her quest to kill Ronin must stop soon and it is coming to an end. He promised her he would help kill Ronin and her revenge would end there.
While Ivan and Tomas are riding in one of their moving trucks, an arrow pierces the windshield with a note saying for Maya to meet Ronin alone at the place they first met: Fat Man Auto Repair. The pair deliver the note to Maya, who instead of going alone, recruits multiple armed members to go with her, including Kazi who manned a sniper. While waiting for Ronin to show up, he is ambushed and is able to escape after Ronin leaves. After this, Maya asks why Kazi wasn't at the meeting where her father died, as he was his second-in-command, but he dodges the question.
After one of Kingpin's associates named Eleanor Bishop cuts ties with him, he summons Kazi and Maya, with Maya saying she needed time off. After she leaves, Kingpin tells Kazi that they need to remind people that New York City belongs to him.
After this confrontation, it is revealed that Kazi has been ordered by Kingpin to assassinate Eleanor at her Christmas party. During the party, he sat in a dark room in the building next to the Rockefeller Center, with a sniper ready to shoot Eleanor through a window. After multiple missed attempts, he instead begins to shoot at Hawkeye, to no avail. Hawkeye then shoots an arrow containing purple mist at Kazi's hiding place, causing him to cough and leave the room. He leaves the building and heads into the Rockefeller Center to find Hawkeye and attack him. He does eventually, but Hawkeye is able to temporarily knock him unconscious after a brief scuffle.
Later, Kazi shows up with two other members of the Tracksuit Mafia at the ice rink where Kate Bishop and Hawkeye are fighting the other members. Hawkeye shoots an arrow at them, which splits into three different arrows with two of them hitting their target. Kazi, however, is able to catch the arrow directed towards him. Kazi then raises a rifle to shoot Hawkeye, but Hawkeye is tackled by Yelena Belova, an assassin hired to kill him. Maya then appears on her motorcycle, and Kazi tells her she should have left and proceeds to swing the butt of his rifle at her. Maya is able to disarm him and knock him down to the cold ground. Maya pleads for Kazi to leave the Tracksuit Mafia with her, but he tells her it's too late and Kingpin would never allow him to. He then pulls an arrow out of the body of a fallen member and begins swinging it at Maya, but she is able to turn it arrow on him, impaling him. As he is lying on the ground, he tells Maya to run because Kingpin would be coming after her. It is unknown if he died of his injuries.
