KB is one of the four protagonists who appear in the Disney+Star Wars limited series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. She is a resourceful and intelligent girl whose abilities are further augmented by cybernetic implants. She is best friends with Fern.
One day, KB and Fern meet Wim and Neel, who discover an old starship buried in the woods, accidentally sending them into deep space. To find their way home and avoid pirates, the kids forge an alliance with the ship's droid SM-33 and a force-sensitive man called Jod Na Nawood.
KB is intelligent and at times quiet and thoughtful. She has cybernetic implants at the back of her head, connected to another implant that can be manually moved in front of her eyes. She also has another much smaller implant at the upper right side of her head.
Her cybernetic implants are the result of a severe accident she suffered earlier in her life. She became disabled to the point of being unable to move without the use of her cybernetics. KB must avoid extreme activities that could put too much strain on her cybernetics. She could also suffer a total system shutdown if she does not maintain regular maintenance. Due to her limitations, KB was afraid of losing friends, thinking nobody had the patience for someone with disabilities. Because of this, she went along with whatever Fern said or did and never complained.
