Joel Edward McHale is an Italian-born American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and television host. He is best known for his role as Jeff Winger in the NBC sitcom Community and for hosting the E! reality series The Soup. He also portrayed Jack Gordon in the CBS sitcom The Great Indoors, Mr. Jacks in the 2004 Marvel film Spider-Man 2, Wilbur Wilson in Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, and Rex in the 2012 Universal Pictures fantasy comedy film Ted. Additionally, he voiced Elliot in the 2008 Sony Pictures animated sequel film Open Season 2 and Johnny Cage in the adult animated Mortal Kombat Legends films. He recently became the host of his own self-titled Netflix sketch comedy show The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale.
For Disney, he voiced the First Ninja in the Disney XD animated series Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, Norm's Prototype Head in the Phineas and Ferb episode "Candace Disconnected", and Victor Verliezer in the Milo Murphy's Law episode "A Clockwork Origin". He also appeared as a Defendant in Bill Nye the Science Guy and Doyle Bradford in the ABC TV show American Housewife. For FX on Hulu, he played David Fields in The Bear.
