Joseph Francis "Joe" Alaskey III was an American actor, voice actor, stand-up comedian, impressionist, and broadcaster. He was best known for being Mel Blanc's successor as the voice of several Looney Tunes characters, as well as Plucky Duck and other characters in Warner Bros.' Tiny Toons Adventures. He was also well-known for voicing Stinkie, one of Casper's uncles, in the 1995 Universal Pictures live-action film Casper, and for taking over the voice role of Grandpa Lou Pickles in the Nickelodeon series Rugrats, since season 5 (after David Doyle's death). Additionally, he voiced Droopy in various Tom and Jerry direct-to-DVD films from 2011 until his death in 2016.

Aside from voice acting, Alaskey was also well-known for his television role as Beano Froelich in the NBC sitcom Out of This World.

For Disney, he voiced Yosemite Sam in Touchstone Pictures' Who Framed Roger Rabbit (replacing Blanc, who refused to voice him due to the voice always being rough on his throat while also being in his late senior years). He was also heard as the voice-over announcer for Toon Disney from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, he voiced Lobster Mobster in The Little Mermaid television series, Little Jimmy in Timon & Pumbaa, Flaps the Elephant in Bonkers, and Soda/Newspaper Vendbot in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.

Alaskey died of cancer on February 3, 2016 at age 63.
