Janelle is a character featured in the American animated television series Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil, created by Sandro Corsaro and produced by Disney Television Animation. She is voiced by Tara Strong.
Janelle is a cashier at the MellowMart, a convenience store in Mellowbrook, the town where the show is set. She has black hair pulled up into a ponytail, black eyes, and wears a blue blouse, which is the MellowMart uniform.
Appearance[]
She first appears in the episode "Fistful of Ice Cream", where Brad Buttowski, Kick's older brother, starts flirting with her. She pretends to be interested in him and asks him to buy her an ice cream cone. However, she reveals that she was only fooling him and dumps the ice cream on his head1. She then laughs at him along with Kick and Gunther, Kick's best friend.
Janelle does not have any other speaking roles in the series, but she is often seen as a background character in various episodes. She sometimes appears more than once in the same scene. Janelle is one of the few characters who does not have a surname revealed in the show. She is also one of the few female characters who does not have a crush on Kick or any other male character.
Janelle has a playful and mischievous personality. She likes to fool Brad and make fun of him for his failed attempts to impress her. She does not seem to be interested in anyone romantically, but she enjoys teasing Brad and making him think otherwise. She is also friendly and cheerful, as she smiles and greets customers at the MellowMart.
Janelle has a minor role in the show, but she serves as comic relief and a foil to Brad's arrogant and self-centered attitude. She also contrasts with Penelope Patterson, another female character who has a crush on Kick and often tries to sabotage his stunts. Janelle does not interfere with Kick's activities, but rather supports him and laughs with him.
