Sir Patrick Stewart, OBE, is an English actor, who has had a distinguished career on both stage and screen. He is best known for his roles as Starfleet Captain Jean-Luc Picard, serving aboard the USS Enterprise-D (NCC-1701-D) and its successor the USS Enterprise-E (NCC-1701-E), in Star Trek: The Next Generation, its successor films, and Star Trek: Picard. He is also well-known for portraying Professor X in the X-Men film series and John Bosley in the 2019 comedy film Charlie's Angels. Additionally, he voiced King Seti I in the 1998 DreamWorks animated film The Prince of Egypt, Poop in the 2017 Sony Pictures animated film The Emoji Movie, and Avery Bullock in the Fox animated sitcom American Dad! (since 2005). He is also known for his prolific stage roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

For Disney, he voiced Mr. Woolensworth in the 2005 Disney animated feature film Chicken Little and The Great Prince of the Forest in the 2006 direct-to-DVD film Bambi II (he is also the only voice actor in Bambi II who was alive when Bambi was released in 1942). He also voiced Lord Yupa in the English dub of Studio Ghibli's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, the William Shakespeare statue in Gnomeo & Juliet, and reprised his role as Professor X in the 2022 Marvel film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Prior to Chicken Little during the early Disney Renaissance, Stewart turned down several voice roles due to scheduling conflicts, including King Triton in The Little Mermaid, Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, Jafar in Aladdin, Francis in Oliver & Company, Zazu in The Lion King, Governor Ratcliffe in Pocahontas, and Zeus in Hercules,[1] yet regarded his missed role opportunities as the greatest regret of his film career. He was also mentioned in an episode of Dog With a Blog.

He also voiced Santa Claus for an additional scene in the DVD version of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.
