Background Information[]
Personality[]
Cinderella is elegant, warm, good-hearted and diplomatic. She was always straightforward and pragmatic as a teenager, feeling that being forced to become a servant for her stepmother and stepsisters and the work she was subjected to was unfair. She also detested royalty until she became a Queen herself, by which she learned to become gracious and kind.
Role in the film[]
Cinderella makes her debut appearance at Charming Castle where she dances with her husband. She and King Charming gift their daughter a pair of glass shoes as a reward for being a good person. While taking her daughter to Auradon Prep, Cinderella runs into her old friend, the Queen of Hearts. Though she addresses her by name, the Queen insists she is to address her by "Your Royal Highness". When the Queen of Hearts summons her soldier-cards to attack and surround everyone at Auradon Prep, Cinderella tries to appeal to her goodness, saying she knows what happened years ago was a stupid prank, but the Queen insists it was horrible for her, and that Cinderella abandoned her to be with her prince. She then demands that Cinderella kneel before her, but she refuses to kneel to a tyrant even if it means losing her life. The Queen then decrees she has defied a royal order, with her daughter Red calling it an act of 'treason' and the Queen orders to have her beheaded.
To prevent this catastrophic event, Red and Chloe travel back in time to Merlin Academy, where they meet the younger versions of their mothers. In this time, Cinderella goes by her real name Ella and is the housekeeper of her own home, despite attending the most prestigious school in the kingdom. She is best friends with Bridget, and often tries to protect her from Uliana and her gang. Prince Charming also attends the school, and Ella, though denies her affection toward him, clearly likes him. Ella later suggests taking Bridget to the Castlecoming dance as friends.
Red and Chloe follow Ella to her family home to ask her questions about Uliana, but Chloe accidentally breaks a vase when trying to help her clean and Ella gets punished by her stepmother for it. Chloe tries to defend her, but her efforts make matters worse and Ella blames her for it, stating that life is not fair.
Later, while cleaning the front yard, Ella is visited by Chloe, who comes to talk, saying she needs someone and since her mother is not present, Ella is all she has. The latter teaches her the difference between true goodness and evil, and that nothing is as clear as it seems, and that she needs to get her hands dirty if it is for the right reasons.
After Red and Chloe return to the present, the latter discovers that her mother is fine.
