"All Is Found" is a song sung by Queen Iduna in Disney's 2019 animated feature film, Frozen II. The song is a lullaby that Queen Iduna sings to her young daughters Anna and Elsa, a Northuldrean lullaby originally sung by Iduna's mother.
A lullaby ending version of the song cut from the film is included on the deluxe edition of the film's soundtrack. The lyrics are exactly the same, though the instrumentation and vocals are altered to sound somewhat gentler. The deleted scene that accompanies this version of the song starts off exactly like the final version, but then Iduna turns and looks out of the window at the aurora borealis after putting Anna into bed and closing her mouth to prevent drool and snoring. She then walks towards Elsa's bed, continuing to sing, and after she finishes, she kisses her daughter and tucks her in. Lyrics from the song were also included in the song "I Seek the Truth," which was also deleted from the final film.
Later in the film, Anna sings it to Elsa to help her sleep.
Honeymaren and Elsa sing it together when examining Iduna's shawl; both of them wonder why lullabies have to contain some terrible warning.
At Ahtohallan, as Elsa follows the past figures a soldier and her grandfather King Runeard, she hears a part of her mother's warning that for going too deep as "not too far, or you'll be drowned" (freeze to death) which she'll meet the same fate as her sister back in the first movie.
Kacey Musgraves performs the song in the end credits.
Lyrics[]
Where the north wind meets the sea
There’s a river full of memory
Sleep my darlings safe and sound
For in this river all is found
In her waters deep and true
Lie the answers and a path for you
Dive down deep into her sound
But not too far or you’ll be drowned
Yes she will sing to those who hear
And in her song all magic flows
But can you brave what you must fear
Can you face what the river knows
Where the north wind meets the sea
There’s a mother full of memory
Come my darling homeward bound
When all is lost, then all is found
Where the north wind meets the sea
There’s a river full of memory
Sleep my darlings safe and sound
For in this river all is found
All is found
When all is lost, then all is found
In her waters deep and true
Lie the answers and a path for you
Dive down deep into her sound
But not too far or you’ll be drowned
Yes, she will sing to those who hear
And in her song all magic flows
But can you brave what you must fear?
Can you face what the river knows?
Until the river's finally crossed
You'll never feel the solid ground
You had to get a little lost
On your way to being found
Where the north wind meets the sea
There's a mother full of memory
Come, my darling, homeward bound
Where all is lost, then all is found
All is found
All is found
Trivia[]
- A deleted version of this song's film sequence (recorded and animated but removed from the final film) has Iduna looking up at the aurora through the floor-to-ceiling window before tucking young Elsa into bed and kissing her goodnight, singing softer on the final verse. This scene is used in the official trailer.
