Alexander David "Alex" Linz is an American former child actor and voice actor, who starred in several late 1990s and early 2000s films and television programs. For Disney, he did the roles of Young Tarzan in the 1999 Disney animated feature film of the same name, the titular character of the 2001 live-action American comedy film Max Keeble's Big Move, Alex Schlotsky in Full-Court Miracle, and Andrew Archibald in The Jennie Project.
Linz was born in Santa Barbara, California. Linz made his acting debut in 1995 on an episode of the television series Cybill. He subsequently appeared in several television productions, such as The Young and the Restless, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Step by Step, ER, Touched by an Angel, Providence, and Hey Arnold! He also appeared on film as the son of Michelle Pfeiffer's character in the 1996 film One Fine Day. However, his first big breakthrough came in 1997 in Home Alone 3 as Alex Pruitt, replacing Macaulay Culkin's character as the lead. He has also appeared in films, such as The Cable Guy, Bruno, Titan A.E., Bounce, and Red Dragon.
He retired from acting in 2007 and attended Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles during which time he was the lead singer of a local garage band named "The Fez Armada". Later, he graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a member of the improvisation and sketch comedy group, "jericho!", Linz received a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning at UCLA in 2017.
