- “ There's always a road back home. ”
Description[]
The Chime of Dwelling is an obtainable item from the Verse 2 Update which is granted to the Officers, Lieutenants and Leader of a Guild. It allows you to set a Guild Base in a wall, with some exceptions (see below). The Chime has a member-counterpart, the Dwelling Charm, which can be bought inside of bases or at the Guild Manager in various cities.
Upon using the chime on an acceptable surface (Around 90° vertically, mostly on rock or wood), a short animation will play with the Guild Door being constructed. A sign will appear above the door, showing the guild name, and the guilds emblem is showcased as a window. Multiple bases can be placed near each other, but only one base per guild can be present in the same server at one time.
The Chime of Dwelling does not work in or under the following:
- Inside of a Guild Base
- Depths and its Layers
- Voidheart, Duke Erisia's Manor or any hostile locations such as Voidzones
- Dungeons or Missions (Duke Fight, Ferryman Fight, Maestro Fight, Trial of One)
- Occupied Locations by Factions that see you as a Hostile
- Being in-combat
- Boatman's Watch and other Voidsea areas
- The Monkey's Paw
- The Interstice (Dimensional Travel)
Notes & Trivia[]
- While someone is inside of the guild base, you are not able to use the chime to spawn another
- Anybody can enter the base through the door, but only guild members can use appliances
- If your guild base is present on the map you are able to respawn to it if you die or reset
- Players cannot go into or out of guild halls while holding a body
- Guild Bases only despawn if the whole guild has left the server
- If a base is present and the Chime is used again somewhere else, the current base will be moved to the new location, given that no one is present inside of the base
- Similar to the Chime of Conflict, this item is undroppable, and resides in your inventory at all times
- If you are looking for a detailed page about the guilds inside, read Guild Base or Guilds
Updates[]
In the 13th February 2023 update, a new mechanic was added for leaders only. Whilst inside of the base, upon using the Chime of Dwelling again, the leader of a guild may freely move any existing room around. Doing so will move the room and all its contents, so Libraries for example, won't lose their books.
In the August 7th 2023 update, another new mechanic was added for leaders only. Using the chime once again inside of the base will allow you to remotely exile anyone in your guild (Assuming you have their Roblox Username NOT Player Name) - Regardless of server, time etc. Officers cannot remotely exile however, and still need to find players to exile them.
