Description[]
A Tiran man found in New Kyrsa, The Sleeping City in a building with the teleporter to the tunnel near the vent into The Sunken Railways. He is wearing a Hive Adjudicator outfit. Similar with other residents of the city, he is unable to recall his past aside from not having a well-off one. Gives general information about the denizens of the city and his theory about Ethiron controlling the Kyrsans.
Dialogue[]
You see it too, don't you? The mist surrounding us, enshrouding the city. | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1. The mist below? | |||||
Aye. It makes me wonder the true fate of the people here... This place is so, so extravagant, and yet not a sane soul to be seen.
(The people he's referring to are the Kyrsgarde.) | |||||
1. Do you think something happened here? | 2. Sane? | 3. What are you doing here? | |||
So it seems. I personally think that these people have been enslaved by Ethiron's presence, bending their wills to his own. Lacking in true free will, as Ethiron's pawns... It disgusts me. | Kyrsgarde drones wander the streets aimlessly, and I cannot understand why... I believe they seek to protect Ethiron, although I cannot be certain. Trying to talk to them has, well, not provided me with anything good. *He glances down upon his chest, a small gash pulsing right near his heart.* So... I've avoided 'peace and love' since then. | *He raises his brow.* The same as you, I suppose. Riches, the desire to seek the unknown, perhaps a wanting for something more in life. The Kyrsan treasures here are worth quite a lot on the Surface... Although, to say if I make it back alive is a gamble. | |||
1. There were kind folk above this city.
(The Kyrsgarde in Firfire) |
1. Do you not fear death? | 2. Something more in life? | 3. Is there anyone else down here? | ||
...Hm, then my theory may have more weight after all. Something isn't right in this place. The influence of Ethiron may simply be too much for the Kyrsgarde to handle. Gods below only know how long we can stay ourselves down here... | *He gives a weak smile, looking toward you with amusement.* Aye, I suppose that's one way to put it. I think... life is something not everyone can get away with. Your luck runs out some day, one close call and then... You know the rest. I don't think life is something I can get away with. *He looks up at you once more.* You think you've already gotten away though, haven't you? | Mm. Well... the same sky gets boring eventually. There's no thrill in living the same life as yesterday for eternity. I s'pose you could say I'm a thrillseeker of sorts... Maybe to a fault. *He flashes a bright smile at you* Some call it stupidity, I can see why. But for me, there's nothing else. This is what I have to live for... And if I die by it, so be it. | *He lets out a sigh, looking up at you with mournful contempt.* There was. Now, only drones, and the occasional straggler like yourself. | ||
1. Perhaps it's just devotion. | 2. What else does Ethiron influence? | [End Dialogue] | |||
*He lets out a hearty laugh, evidently amused by that prospect.* Aye! Devotion to a world-eating husk! What a life, what a life I inhabit... I wish to see through the meaning of all of this. This may be an end for me, but I will not allow an end for my legacy. | Huh? You think I'd know that? I'm no scholar, no, I'm no aristocrat. I wouldn't be down here if I had a cushy, easy life like that! | ||||
[End Dialogue] |
