DCWV Stack-a-holic LO

I have not made any layouts in a loooooong time!  I have some pics printed from last year that need to be scrapped, so I finally started the other day.  I made a couple the then and got this one done today.  I have not quite decided if LO sketches make it easier or not. :/

This follows the template at DCWV Diary: July Stack-a-holic Challenge
Here's mine... my daughter plays the French horn in a community band.  Her hair is not quite so 'orange' IRL!! :)

Progress - more LO's!! =)

For my blog candy giveaway, click HERE =)

I've been doing some quick LO's because I really want to get last year scrapped.

Here are a few I've done in the last week.

  For this one, I cut the holes in my 12x12 and put the pics behind.  The label and 'crash' were cut in MTC.  I made the warped label and the font is 'InkPen 2 chords'

I'll edit to add... no injuries, PTL!!!

Vellum sentiments from DCWV love stack

This one followed the sketch over at Multi-photo Scrapbooking Layouts Gallery. I sent it in for their Dec/Jan sketch challenge.

These pretzels really are worthy of their own page!!  We made them 3 times at home and then made them for our whole church!!   You can find the recipe here at Allrecipes.com  Yummy!!

More snow!!  The paper I used for 'winter wonderland' is Slice specialty 'metallic silver.'  In the second pic, see how thinly I could cut it??  I have a Cricut E, not one of the other pricey machines that will cut so well.  This paper is awesome!!!  I got a stack of it at an Ollie's so if you are near one, go look!

Winter LO

I've been doing scrapbook LO's for the past couple of days.  I planned to scrap 2011 as it happened.  HA!  I just finished February!

This is a snow LO.  We had so much snow last winter!!  (And sadly, hardly any this year! Sob!)  I'm beginning to learn my camera a little more so I hope this winter's pics will be better, but no matter how bad the pic, I think snow is beautiful!!!

I'm submitting this to Sketchy Thursdays challenge.  I like this sketch.  I actually did a couple of other pages with it, but they include people that I've not asked for permission to post their faces on my blog, so they'll just go right into the scrapbook.

a few more 2011 LO's

The last few weeks have been crazy for me.  I've been gone 3 weekends in a row, and sick a couple of times in between.  Not fun!  So I haven't made any cards for awhile and have not made any layouts for a looooong time.  I got back in my craft room yesterday and decided to  make some LO's.  These are not for any challenge, they are just for we, ourselves, and us.  [Get it?  It's the plural version of me, myself, and I ;-) ]

I know that I will never be able to scrap all my 23+ years of marriage, nor my 15+ yrs of children, so I decided to scrap this year as it went.  A girl can dream, can't she??  I'm only on Feb and it is already Nov!!

My kids have bad eyes like their mother and all got new glasses in January.  One of my daughters got glasses for the first time.  No longer can she brag about not having them! :)

~Basic Grey Recess paper
~LD Red Hatter's Hand font
~Nymphette scroll
~Wingdings glasses
~all cut in MTC

I am doing a title pg for each month, so rather than love as would be expected for Feb, I did snow because I love snow and we got so much!!!  :)

for the 2 pg LO...
~DCWV paper
~scroll from HA
~snowflakes from WICO
~"snow" and branch from WW
~K & Company sticker
~snowflake punch
~stickers I've had forever for "playing in the"

A friend always gives us an Amaryllis each year and this year it was so beautiful!  It had 3 stalks, the first had 2 blooms, the 2nd had 3 blooms, and the third stalk had 6 blooms!!

Can't remember what all I used for this and am too lazy to go to my craft room and look, so no 'recipe' for this one.  Sorry! :(

I'm at least making progress, so I'm happy about that!!

"splash" LO

I don't have a lot of water pics for this year yet, so I went looking through my pics from last year.  In July '10, we celebrated my parents 50th anniversary with a week of family activities.  We started with a couple of days at their cottage.  It was sooooo much fun!!!  Swimming, boating, food, fun, and unfortunately, sunburn!   Last fall, I got my pics printed from that week, but I didn't do much with them then.  This has me inspired to get at them and make a scrapbook for that special time!

These pics fit the sketch from Sketchy Thursdays this week and a water theme fit the criteria over at Fantabulous Cricut.   I'm submitting this to Getting Cricky with K Andrew's summer fun challenge, too.

(All the colors look a little 'dull' in the pic.  They are much better IRL!)

Red, White, and Blue LO's

We always have a picnic at our house on July 4th and invite our whole church family.  It is so much fun and I love to scrap the pics (when I remember to bring the camera out!!)!
This year, I am trying to scrap our year as we go.  I'm a little behind in that but these pages will help... they are for July 4th so all I need to do is put the pics in after that day.

Challenges...
Fantabulous Cricut - use red, white, and blue
Celebrate the Occasion - July 4th: use red, white, and blue
Sketchy Thursdays - sketch (I did both pages of the sketch)

What I used:
~DCWV paper
~Kraft paper frames
~stars welded in MTC
~2011 from Stone Script
~Labels for journaling Nestabilities
~hemp, flower, beads, and brads from my stash

Cowboy LO's

Howdy Pardner!!  These LO's were for my son's friend who had his birthday on the weekend.   She gave me the pages and asked for some western LO's.

They are pretty simple.  It is much easier for me to do a LO around the pics, in fact, I NEVER make them first so this was real challenge.  She wanted some ready for pics and some where she could place them as she wished.

All cuts are from Old West.  That is a great cart!!!!

I tried to give lots of options for journaling, too.

They were the Spago pgs from CM, so I didn't use a whole 12x12 pg for many of them.

The patterned paper is all from "All About Boys" stack.  See... I told you I needed more boy paper! :-)

Chip n Dale and a Wedding cake?????

Yep!  I made files for Chip n Dale and a wedding cake for my newest LO's.
You can relax, they are not on the same LO!!!

Our youngest 2 love each other to death... except when they don't!   If you are a parent, you understand that!!  LOL!  But they really are good buds and I liked this pic,
so was inspired by my DD's pants for the Chip n Dale and title.
They love the cat!  He loves them (sometimes), too!
I made the Chip n Dale file from a coloring page in MTC.  The font is Cheri.
Fancy Pants paper

At our church, my husband, who is the pastor, preaches a series once a year on the home.  Then we have a special service when all the couples can renew their vows.  He always makes a cake and punch for a fellowship time afterward.  He made the cake, taught us all to make the flowers, and decorated everything.

The cake was made in MTC from a coloring page online.  The flourishes are from Sentiments.
The font is LokiCola.  The tags are cut with my Nesties.
The bakcground paper is glittery swirls Slice Specialty paper.
I got 25 sheets for $2.99!!!!!  Found several deals at Ollie's in WV.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What a ham!!!
The trench coat figure is from webdings.  The font is Waterfalls.
The magnifying glass was cut in MTC from clipart.
~~~~~~~~

A LO of several cute pics of our kitty playing.
The font is Loki Cola

It snowed a LOT this winter!  I love it!!!  These 2 pgs are during and after 3 different storms.
The font is Cheri.  DCWV Holiday stack paper.

Bible Charade fun LO

Even though I am trying to keep up with this year's events in my scrapping, I am still working on January.  One Sunday night, we had a teen afterglow at our house and played Bible Charades... teens vs. parents.
I forgot to put my camera on the sport setting, so some of the pics aren't totally in focus, but we had so much fun that I wanted to do a LO anyway.  I followed the sketch from and am submitting this to Sketchy Thursdays.

I used Colorbok paper for the background, Bazzill for the mats, and some Bible words paper I've had awhile.  "Bible Charades" is Sybil Green font and shadowed in MTC.  Flowers are from some scrap paper that matched.
And just in case you can't read it... the last journal tag says "Parents won!!!!!"  :-D

More January LO's - skating fun

One of our favorite things to do in winter is skating!  Whether in a rink indoors or in the great outdoors, it is fun!!   some friends have a pond that they care for and turn into a rink when it's cold enough.  This winter sure has been cold enough but we got so much snow that it was only usable for a couple of weeks, so we went when we could!

Woohoo!  Two more LO's done for the year!  :D

I used DCWV paper and Make the Cut for the words and skate

A scrapbook LO for a change! :D

I have not scrapped for several months but am determined to scrap this year as it happens.  I'm a little behind since it is Feb and I only have 3 pgs done, but that's better than nothing, isn't it?!? :D

This LO was inspired by Sketchy Thursday.

What I used:
*Basic Grey granola paper
*DCWV cardstock
*Shape and photo corners cut in MTC
*Musicals font cut in MTC
*pre-made label and ribbon from my stash
