WildStorm Productions is a comic book publisher founded by Jim Lee in 1992. Their primary publications took place in the shared Wildstorm Universe. They also published creator-owned and licensed properties. WildStorm began as a part of Image Comics with early issues published by Malibu. Their stories took place in the shared Image Universe until they were split off by the Shattered Image event in 1996.
DC Comics bought WildStorm as an imprint in 1998. The company and its universe were dissolved in 2010. Its characters and concepts were merged into the DC Universe through The New 52. The name "WildStorm" is a combination of their two earliest titles, the series' WildC.A.T.s and StormWatch.
