- Vanguard was created by Grant Morrison and Simone Bianchi, first appearing with Shining Knight in Seven Soldiers: Shining Knight Vol 1. However, in the rebooted Prime Earth continuity her first appearance as part of the DC Universe is in Paul Cornell and Diogenes Neves's New 52 Demon Knights series.
