Synopsis for "Breach of Trust, Part 1"

The Authority deals with an Lovecraftian Elder God that threatens Providence, Rhode Island. The Doctor Habib Bin Hassan banishes the entity to where it came. After ridding the creature and its ilk which were preventing from crossing into Earth by Jenny Quarx, Apollo and Midnighter are questioned by their adopted daughter who is curious as to why her foster parents, having overcome the Elder God from inflicting them with madness and terror, ever had anything to fear of. The couple are uneasy and solemnly tell Jenny that it's best to talk about at a better time, in which Jack Hawksmoor informs Jenny that what they fear most is what created them.

Meanwhile at Stormwatch headquarters, William Bendix brings Jackson King to an uncovered memory tower as he had discovered important classified information belonging to his deceased father Henry Bendix. William risked uncovering what his father held at King's permission and managed to learn that his father had a hidden, underground complex in the Arizona desert. Deciding whatever Bendix is hiding could either contain items of incalculable benefit, incredible danger, or both is needed to be recovered, King gathers Stormwatch Prime for this mission. However, the Engineer's probing catches on to this.

Stormwatch journeys to the Arizona bunker. On the way, Hellstrike inquires King of William in which the latter admits the reason he recruited William, as being the son of the madman, was to genetically unlock Henry's secrets but doesn't judge William for the actions of his father. Stormwatch finally arrives at their destination, but only to trigger Bendix's security system in the form of robotic Think Tank armors. The team engages and destroys some of the machines, but the Think Tanks soon repair themselves and reassemble themselves into a single giant robot. Fortunately, the robot is quickly destroyed by the Authority.
