Talk: Clifford Steele (Prime Earth)

Hey, everybody, been a while. I wanted to bring this up, and it's a big task I wish I had the time to do myself anymore, in case anybody else wanted to follow through with it for me.

But after finally getting around to finishing Doom Patrol Vol 6, I found out it's revealed that the Robotman from all the Young Animal stuff is just universe-wonky fan fiction of (what I'm pretty sure is supposed to be implied to be) Morrison's original run.

So, theoretically, (and this is just my suggestion), all the Robotman appearances from Young Animal series should be split - into either a New Earth designation, a (Young Animal) one, or, probably the most reasonable if I'm being honest with myself - another Prime Earth one.

But, in addition to that, if we were to go forward with a New Earth tag, I would also suggest that the Clifford Steele Doppelganger (New Earth) page be renamed to "Clifford Steele II (New Earth)" - like what I did with Casey Brinke and Casey Brinke II (Prime Earth) - and then this Cliff Steele would be "Clifford Steel III (New Earth)".

I know I could probably also mention this in the move discussions, but I just feel like the Doom Patrol series is so purposefully continuity-wonky (part of why I love it, but also a nightmare to try to chronicle), but I wanted to get the beginning of the discussion started in case anybody wanted to try to tame the beast in my pained absence. :)

Hey, Harold of the Past,

Dumb idea. That's so much work. Whenever I'll get around to it, I'll probably just mention in the history section that Prime Earth Cliff has ALWAYS been a fan fiction of New Earth Cliff, sorta what we did with Prime Earth Wally West kinda being from New Earth but sorta being rebooted whatever. It's way easier that way. Glad I had this half-a-year to think on it.
