San Baquero is a volcanic island in the South Eastern Gulf of Mexico.
History
Due to its location, San Baquero was an unwitting pawn in international narcotics trade.
After volcanologists detected the island's volcano was building up for an eruption, the Justice League sent out a task force to evacuate the 70,000 inhabitants. The operation encountered two issues: the escaped Doomsday attacked Superman, and General Eiling ordered a nuclear missile to contain it. Batman diverted the missile, but the volanic eruption swallowed the entire island. The evacuation was completed without further incident, and Doomsday was buried deep under the wreckage.
