Richard Benedict (b. January 8, 1920 – d.April 29, 1984) was an Italian-American actor and director who portrayed various characters in three episodes of Adventures of Superman. Online sources disagree about Benedict's biographical details. Wikipedia gives his birth name as Riccardo Benedetto and states that he was born on January 8, 1920 in Palermo, Italy and died on April 29, 1984 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) says that he was born Joseph Sciurba on January 8, 1916 in Marion, Illinois, U.S.A. in an overview, but contradicts this on the same page in a mini bio which states that he was born in Sicily. IMDb gives his death date as April 25, 1984.
