Synopsis for Lt. Hunter's Hellcats: "Raid of the Hellcats"
The Hellcats are sent to rescue two doctors from a Japanese-held island. These doctors had accidentally discover a new kind of nerve gas in which the Japanese want it and are torturing them into revealing its formula.
The squad are dropped off from their submarine and infiltrate the island via rubber rafts. They soon find the prison camp and proceed to attack it. After dispatching the guards, the Hellcats free the prisoners. However, the prisoners inform them that the doctors they are looking for were taken away just a few hours ago. Hunter then realizes the doctors were sent out on a warship that was leaving earlier when the Hellcats saw it just as they came to the island.
The squad race to the harbor and hijack a power boat, and chase after the ship. The Hellcats' pilot Zig-Zag deftly dodge incoming fire from the ship's deck guns before the squad boards the vessel. The ship is taken over and the doctors are recovered. Hunter direct the ship away from Japanese waters undetected. Not too long later, a Japanese plane is dispatched to find out why their ship has remain in silent. One of the Hellcats, Cracker, who is manning one of the ship's guns, accidentally fire on the plane and causing its pilot to alert his comrades.
Soon, a Japanese destroyer is chasing after the Hellcats. Eventually, the Hellcats are forced to beach their ship on an island and they and the doctors run into the jungle. The Japanese send soldiers to the island to recapture the doctors. The Hellcats are outnumbered and outgunned, and they are forced to go deeper into the jungle. Their only hope of getting out of this alive is their S.O.S. message to the Allies.
The men and the doctors take shelter inside a cave and make a last stand. After their ammo ran out, the Hellcats are reduced to fighting the Japanese with their fists. Fortunately at the right moment, the U.S. Navy have finally answered their message and have start wiping out the Japanese. The Hellcats escort the doctors to the Navy ship.
