Synopsis for Captain Comet: "Eschatology "

Telepathic agents who serve the Eternal Light Corporation attack Captain Comet on Hardcore Station, where he has been living for some time. They manage to slip a psychic restraint over his head which overloads the neurons of his body. Unsure of how to handle the situation any further, they decide to destroy him. Deacon Dark instructed his cybernetic associate Prime-7 to steal Captain Comet's body from the station's morgue. Captain Comet's body was later stolen by the Eternal Light Corporation from the Justice Center's morgue. The theft didn't go as planned and the the thieves had to dispose of Blake' body by jettisoning it to the nearest sun but something incredible happened as Blake's corpse neared the sun.

The telepathic energy of Comet's mind had survived the destruction of his body. Comet's body wanders the cosmos until it finds and connects with a new physical host. The telepathic form of the Weird links up with Comet's corpse. The process that brought them together is what the Weird would call "Revivification". However, the connection didn't last long. Meanwhile, Comet's friend Eye overhears Comet's demise and goes to his apartment on Hardcore. Comet's talking bulldog companion Tyrone greets Eye and invites her inside. Tyrone tells Eye about Comet's life as an adventurer on Earth during the 1950's and as an interstellar hero. After Eye leaves, Tyrone hears a noise from an adjacent room. When Tyrone enters the room, he sees Captain Comet revived and sprawled out across the floor.

Synopsis for "The Weird: Revivification"

The Zarolatt entity known as the Weird, slowly reconstitutes a new form after living as a disembodied energy being for so long. He recalls his species' long-standing feud with the more powerful Macrolatt aliens, and his discovery of the Milky Way Galaxy. The Weird also remembers his first physical host body Walter Langley. As the Weird, Langley briefly associated with the Justice League in order to combat his Macrolatt oppressors until his death. The Weird's telepathic form wandered the cosmos until Captain Comet's corpse was jettisoned toward a nearby sun.

The spirit of Captain Comet was disoriented and afraid until it came into contact with the Weird entity. After making contact with the Weird, Captain Comet awoke on Hardcore Station in a seemingly younger body and the Weird was given a new physical form. Now that the Weird is alive again, he tests out all of his superhuman capabilities and flies off to investigate his surroundings. He quickly realizes that he is no longer on Earth.
