Synopsis for The Spectre: "The Ghost of Elmer Watson"
Wayne, key witness in a graft trial, is menaced by the associates of Jenks, the implicated criminal. Cop Elmer Watson is assigned to protect Wayne, but is gunned down in his attempts to do so. Strangely, as Watson's body is hauled way, his shadow comes to life!
James Corrigan happens to catch the thoughts of one of Watson's killers and goes after him as the Spectre. The killer flees, only to run into Watson's ghost coming at him from the other direction, who kills him with ghostly strangulation.
Later the Spectre catches up to Watson's ghost killing another of his murderers. The Spectre tries to make him stop his deathly rampage, to let the law take its course, but Watson refuses to obey, and disappears "in the darkness of dimensional space". Next Watson's ghost goes after Jenks himself, who's trying to escape town aboard a train. Spectre transports Jenks into a prison cell to spare his life, but make him face justice.

Notes
- Published by Detective Comics, Inc..
- In this issue's Congo Bill story, O'Toole the chimpanzee rejoins the cast, for the final time.
- In this issue's Doctor Fate story, Mayoor claims that he was imprisoned centuries earlier by Doctor Fate. While it is not normally possible for Kent Nelson to have done this, barring time-travel, Nabu could have been responsible for the Mayan's imprisonment. And given that this is Doctor Fate, Time Travel can't be ruled out either.
- First issue for Lance Larkin by Harold Wilson Sharp.
- The Spectre: "The Ghost Of Elmer Watson" is reprinted in The Golden Age Spectre Archives Vol. 1.
- Also appearing in this issue of More Fun Comics was:
- "The Wildcat Strikes" (text story), by Rex Gilbert.
