Mark Chiarello (b. October 31, 1960) is a writer.
Professional History
Mark Chiarello is an American professional painter and comic book editor. He began his career in comic books in 1987 when he started working for Eclipse Comics on their title Lost Planet. His first work for DC Comics was the Elseworld story Batman/Houdini: Devil's Workshop. He would continue to work for DC on titles such as Batman: Dark Victory and Batman: Black and White. The latter earned him the Will Eisner Comic Industry Award for Best Editor.
He have worked for Marvel Comics and is credited as the creator of Samurai Jack.
