Manticore was a person with a lion-like body and an accomplice of Raza Kattuah.
History
After everyone started turning into the Anti-Living, he along with Hyve, Nightshade and Raza Kattuah decided to hide in the Quraci fortress of Jotunheim along with Quraci soldiers. The Aerie decided to go to the fortress as well so Wink was safe, but were fired upon since no one was allowed in. Wink however teleported herself and Aerie into the fortress, requesting them to allow them to stay while Aerie offered them help when needed. Jotunheim's defenders agreed, and Manticore later asked the two to find Nightshade and Hyve who had gone missing while scouting.[1]
Aerie and Wink soon came back, informing Jotunheim's defenders about a horde of Anti-Living led by Black Adam. Knowing it will be nearly impossible for them to stop him, Manticore advised the two to leave them to their fates, but Wink rejected it since it wasn't in their nature. Aerie later flew off to Aegean Sea in order to reach Themyscira and contact the heroes for help per her plan, while others remained behind to fight. The infected Nightshade however opened a portal to let the Anti-Living enter Jotunheim and attacked Manticore, turning him into one of the Anti-Living as well.[2]
Meanwhile, the infected Black Adam who had been teleported inside the mountain housing Jotunheim burst out, which caused the fortress to start falling.[2] Wonder Woman arrived to hold the fort, after which Raza held off the horde to let others barricade themselves. Wink however teleported him away before Hawkman, Hawkgirl and Wonder Woman pushed all the Anti-Living back into Nightshade's portal, trapping them in the Land of the Nightshades temporarily. Manticore grabbed Hawkman before the portal closed and the horde would later reunite with Black Adam near the sea, with Nightshade creating another portal to let them bypass it.[3]
