- Mal Duncan was created by Robert Kanigher and Nick Cardy, first appearing in Teen Titans #26. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Mal Duncan first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Titans Hunt #1 by Dan Abnett and Paulo Siqueira.
