Limbo, also known as Purgatory, is the realm between Heaven and Hell where souls become trapped after their physical death. Limbo also refers to several things in the DC Universe; like the borderland between the dimensions called the Interdimensional Limbo, the Comic Book Limbo located in Overvoid, the Limbo Sphere located at the edge of the Sphere of the Gods, and the characters Goth and Kari Limbo.
The Limbo realm was adapted by Gardner Fox and Murphy Anderson, first appearing in Showcase #60 (1966).
