Leo Lane, codename Daemon Rose, is a secret agent trained from birth within A.R.G.U.S.. He is Lois Lane's younger brother, a fact hidden from her and the rest of the world for most of his life.
History
Lane was raised and trained by his father until his death by the hands of the Leviathan Organization, which left him with a bitter grudge against the group.[2][3] His sisters were not aware of his existence until adulthood, with Lois having met him soon after she located his birth certificate amongst their father's things.[4][5]
Operating as "Daemon Rose", Lane is one of the most skilled operatives in the world, but when Leviathan dismantled the world's secret agencies, he and many other surviving agents were left alone and without a purpose. A number of these agents were recruited into a new group where every member impersonated Deathstroke. The group invited him to join, but told him that before he met the group's leader he would have to assassinate a member of the Justice League. He refused, putting him in their crosshairs.[3]
With nowhere else to go he approached Green Arrow, financier and member of Checkmate, for help.[6]
