Synopsis for "By Kamlot's Grave"

Carson's first hunt for "Tarel" (cobwebs) begins in the lush forest with his guardian's son, Kamlot. The two climb up a tree only to find a giant spider ready to protect its web. The spider goes for Kamlot first, and Carson hacks away at it with his sword. With the spider dead, Carson climbs back up the tree to find his companion very still and not breathing. Further more, Carson realizes he is now lost in the vast Venusian forest.

While Carson creates a mossy grave for his friend, Kamlot awakes, as it seems he's not dead after all, but was briefly paralyzed from the spider's venom.

The two head home through the forest and are attacked by flying furies (Klangan). The bird-men lasso the two with wire nooses and carry them to the sea, where a docked ship awaits for them in the harbor.
