Synopsis for "In Your Dreams"

Mary has decided to stop running from her fears and summons the lightning of Shazam. Having access to her powers, Mary incapacitates the monster masquerading as Billy and projects her mind outside her sleeping body so she can help her family confront their nightmares.

First, she enters Darla's dream and finds her cornered by scary giants. Mary realizes that Darla is scared of adulthood in general, which is why she is picturing adults as scary monsters. Initially, she thinks Darla can fight her fear on her own, but ultimately decides to share her powers with her. In the dream world, Darla is a superhero just like Mary and together, the sisters defeat the giants.

Next, she enters Eugene's dream finds him getting bullied by his schoolmates. At first, she tries to help, just like she helped Darla, but the dark Shazam intercepts her. Mary easily escapes the dark Captain and allows Eugene to transform into a superhero. As time goes by, Mary helps Pedro and Freddy overcome their nightmares. Finally, she reunites Victor and Rosa. Mary can't share her powers with them like she did with her siblings because her parents don't know how does it feel to live with superpowers, so she settles with the second-best possible outcome: helping Victor enter Rosa's nightmare so they can fight together.

Mary is once again attacked by the dark Captain, who punches her across multipe dreams and uses her fear to become a giant. Fortunately, the Shazam family is reunited, and together, they trap the dark Captain inside his own nightmare. Mary returns to the waking world and is glad to find her family safe and sound. Her joy is short-lived, however, as she finds the dark Shazam staring at her from outside the Vasquez house. All this time, he was never a nightmare. He is real and whatever he is planning, it can't be good, so Mary says the magic word and chases after him.
