Impulse #75 is an issue of the series Impulse (Volume 1) with a cover date of August, 2001.

Synopsis for "Dark Tomorrow, Part Three"

Impulse and his future self destroy one of President Thawne's satellites, but Impulse is hit with the Hyper-Ray in the process, which causes several energy-based "scouts" of Impulse to appear. Thawne then reveals that he had a second satellite, which has already bathed the southern hemisphere in the Hyper-Ray, causing mass death and destruction.

To ensure that Carol Bucklen never invents the Hyper-Ray, she agrees to travel further in the future with Meloni Allen, giving Bart a locket before she leaves. Impulse's scouts then travel back in time to save Max Mercury and Helen Claiborne from Lucius Keller. The future finally begins to change and the adult versions of Bart and Carol fade from existence. Iris Allen takes Bart back to the 21st century, as the teenager weeps for being separated from his girlfriend.
