Lyta Trevor was Fury,[1] a member of Infinity, Inc. and the mother of Daniel Hall.
History
Fury was part of Infinity, Inc., a team of superheroes formed in the tradition of the Justice Society of America,[2] with whom she encountered the skeletal villain-turned-hero Mister Bones.[3] Trevor became pregnant with a son, and during his gestation met the escaped nightmares Brute and Glob.[4]
When Fury eventually died, her soul was contained within the island of Themyscira's Well of Souls until it was stolen by the power-absorbing Amazo android Paradise Lost for the metahuman abilities that Fury had possessed in life.[1]
Notes
- Fury was created by Roy Thomas, Dann Thomas, and Jerry Ordway, first appearing in Wonder Woman #300. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Fury first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Infinite Frontier #0 by James Tynion IV and Stephen Byrne.
- However, she was first mentioned, albeit not by name, in The Dreaming: Waking Hours #3.
- In pre-Crisis continuity, Hippolyta Trevor was the daughter of the Golden Age Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor. When Wonder Woman's Golden Age history was negated post-Crisis, Helena Kosmatos was introduced to take her place. In modern continuity, Wonder Woman's Golden Age career[5] and Helena Kosmatos[6] coexist, making Hippolyta Trevor's parentage ambiguous.
