Hila, also known as Siren, is the twin sister of Mera and an enemy to Atlantis.
History
Usurping The Throne
Soon after Arthur made contact with Extriax and the refugees of the other Atlantis, Hila began to impersonate Mera and proceeded to drive Arthur out of the kingdom out of rage and disgust over risking the sanctity of his & her kingdom for the sake of a bunch of motley refugee's.[2]

- Atlantean Physiology: The Atlanteans are offshoots of humanity that are biologically adapted to the deep ocean environment. All their abilities are by-products of their bodies being adapted to survive unprotected in the tremendous pressures of the ocean depths.

- Enhanced Hearing: Hila's hearing is far greater than any human's.
- Magic: A shifter, Siren is capable of using magic.[3]
- Shape-shifting: As a shifter, she is a master of illusion and deception. Hila was able to make herself look exactly like her sister.[2]
- Hydrokinesis: Unlike the rest of her family, Hila did not naturally inherit the ability to shape water like her sister. Instead, she gained the ability through magic supplied by sorcerers of Thule and augmented to rival that of Mera's own. She is able to create hard water objects, increase the density of water strong enough to pin a Super-Atlantean, and rip the blood out of a person's body.[4][2]

- Deception: Skilled in the art of deception, she was able to impersonate her sister successful while rallying Atlantis against Aquaman by convincing him he was a prophesized destroyer of all.[4]

- Trident of Neptune: During her coop of Atlantis, Hila took the Trident of Neptune into her possession. When she and the Coven were defeated by Aquaman and his allies, the trident was reclaimed by the true king.[5](Formerly)
Notes
- Hila was created by Nick Cardy, first appearing in Aquaman #22. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Hila first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Aquaman (Volume 7) #43 by Cullen Bunn, Trevor McCarthy, and Jesús Merino.

- Siren is also known as the Queen of Atlantis, though only she calls herself that.
