Gen 13 (Volume 2) #17 is an issue of the series Gen 13 (Volume 2) with a cover date of February, 1997.
Synopsis for "Toy Soldiers!"
Babyluv explains his origin to the captive Caitlin, Roxy, and Sarah: his mother was exposed to Gen-Factor in a car accident while pregnant with him, gifting him with superhuman intellect but preventing him from aging beyond early childhood. He used his intelligence to become a wealthy toy designer and manufacturer. Now, he plans to mate with one of them to create a new race of superhumans. Meanwhile, Burnout and Grunge see a news report of the girls' battle with Helmut, and Bobby is able to use their psychic link to track them to Luv Toys. He, Grunge, and Lynch sneak into the building to find it defended by armed, giant toys. Babyluv fails to seduce Rainmaker and Fairchild, but he is able to control Roxy's mind. Ms. Poppinopolous sees Lynch and the boys on a security monitor, and Sarah exploits the distraction to free herself and Caitlin. They knock out the electric power to the building, shutting down the guard toys and enabling Lynch and the boys to reach them. Babyluv places Roxy into a device that creates an adult android body for him based on her fondest desire. A version of Grunge, it breaks free and collides with Helmut, breaking through a window and falling to the street below. Later, Grunge sees Poppinopolous and Babyluv pretending to be a mother and her baby in a news interview and fumes at knowing that they and Helmut got away. Unbeknownst to Gen 13, Keepers are staking out their house.
