Synopsis for "Simply Marvelous"
The Mystery Inc. gang are hired by Uncle Marvel and Tawky Tawny to help find the missing Marvel Family, whose disappearance is believed to be the work of the Monster Society of Evil.
By tracking down deliveries of things the various Monster Society members would need (banjo strings, atomic fuel, tiny eyeglasses), the meddling kids find one address in common and head there to investigate. Inside they find a pair of captives, but once freed the pair turn into Ibac and Sabbac. Surrounded by them and the rest of the villains, Mister Mind says he'll use his mad science to turn the Mystery Inc. gang into monsters to join his ranks. Exclaiming their usual catchphrases in alarm, Velma and Shaggy suddenly find themselves changed into Marvel-esque superheroes themselves. After some hijinks the real Marvel Family is found tied up and able to transform also, rounding up the rest of the villains.
The wizard Shazam appears and explains that because the Marvel Family were captured, he gave Velma and Shaggy divine powers based on anagrams of their usual exclamations. Because the real Marvel Family is back, the kids change back to normal, Shaggy gratefully but Velma a bit less so. For helping to stop the Monster Society, the kids are declared honorary Marvel Family members.
