Cordelia Doe was a suburban housewife in Gotham City before she went crazy.
History
She was married and had three children. However, one day, she became paranoid that her husband was actually replaced with a robot and was planning to do the same to the kids. She killed all of them, saying she thought the cybernetics were so advanced that they looked like human organs, and apparently found a microchip inside her husband's brain. She was detained and taken to Arkham Asylum, where the doctors told her there never was any microchip.[1]
During the Joker's endgame plot, the Joker himself freed Cordelia and four other inmates and told each of them a different origin story for himself, claiming only one of them was right. The Joker told Cordelia that he was in fact a robot and that he was the one who replaced her husband and children.
