Blue Beetle (Movie)

Blue Beetle is a 2023 superhero film directed by Ángel Manuel Soto from a script by Garth Dunnet-Alcocer. It follows young Jaime Reyes as he becomes the titular hero after bonding with the Scarab. It is set in the DC Extended Universe, but is also retroactively canon to the DC Universe.

The film received generally positive reviews from critics and was successful on Max when it came to streaming, but it severely underperformed at the box office. An animated sequel series is being developed by DC Studios.
