"Supergirl: "The Boy Who Could See in the Dark"": This story is reprinted from Action Comics #263.

Action Comics #347 is an issue of the series Action Comics (Volume 1) with a cover date of April, 1967. It was published on February 10, 1967.

Synopsis for Supergirl: "The Boy Who Could See in the Dark"

This story is reprinted from Action Comics #263.

After secretly using her powers to make sure supper at the orphanage isn't ruined, Supergirl probes around the world with her x-ray vision and happens upon a youth that is lost at sea. Changing into Supergirl, she secretly saves the boy when she puts him in the way of a US Naval vessel. The captain on board is shocked to find that the boy doesn't speak any known language and is wearing a strangely designed necklace. The boy is coincidentally brought to Midvale Orphanage while the authorities try to figure out what to do with him. Linda Lee is charged with teaching the boy, dubbed Johnny Blank, how to speak English.

A series of disasters hit the orphanage, including a falling tree, and a fire, forcing Linda to try and secretly stop them using her powers as Supergirl. However, this is all witnessed by Johnny, Linda doesn't learn this until he accidentally shoots off her wig with a bow and arrow and covers for her to cover up her identity. Realizing that Johnny's necklace is the coordinates of his home planet, she deduces that he's an alien.

Preventing Johnny from being adopted, Supergirl confronts him at night, and restores his memories. He recalls that he crash landed on Earth after being exiled from his planet Korvia. He explained that he's name is Valzorr and that the evil Zoxxo had exiled him after framing him for assassinating his aunt and uncle who were rulers of the planet. Supergirl agrees to take him back to Korvia and prove his innocence. Learning that the murder weapon was an Atom Transporter, Supergirl uses it to reconstruct Valzorr's aunt and uncle who corroborate Valzorr's story and Zoxxo is taken prisoner.

Returning back to Earth, Supergirl reveals to the reader that she now has her own Supergirl robot to cover for her as Linda Lee whenever she is away from the orphanage for an extended period of time.

Synopsis for Supergirl: "My Father, the Cop"

This story is reprinted from Action Comics #264.

After secretly saving an airplane as Supergirl, Linda Lee returns to the Midvale Orphanage to learn that a Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins were coming to adopt a girl, and Miss Heart wants all the girls present. Linda once more trying to avoid getting adopted puts on a filthy dress in the hopes of dissuading the Wilkins from adopting her. However, this fails as the Wilkins find that Linda reminds them of their daughter who had died and choose Linda to be their adopted daughter, much to her dismay.

Living with the Wilkins, Linda learns that Mr. Wilkins is a police officer who has been charged with dealing trying to smash the various rackets in town. While sewing with Mrs. Wilkins, Linda grows bored and uses her x-ray vision to watch Mr. Wilkins in action. Realizing that he's at the risk of getting hit by a subway train trying to stop a crook, Linda hypnotizes Mrs. Wilkins and goes into action as Supergirl. Disguising herself as her cousin Superman, Supergirl rescues him.

Later when Mr. Wilkins protects a boxer who wont throw a fight, some thugs try to cut the cable of the elevator they are traveling in, however they are secretly saved by Supergirl and Wilkins arrests his would-be killers. Later still, Supergirl is present to save Mr. Wilkins from being run over. Later visiting Mr. Wilkin as Linda Lee, a criminal tries to throw a bomb at Wilkins. When Wilkins fails to shield the bomb with his body, Linda secretly uses her x-ray vision to defuse it.

Returning home, the Wilkins decide that because of Mr. Wilkin's job, it's not safe to keep her as their biological daughter was murdered by the very criminals that Mr. Wilkins were trying to nab. Unable to tell them that she is really Supergirl, she accepts their wishes and returns back to the Midvale Orphanage, hoping that someday she will find a family she won't have to hide her true identity from.

Synopsis for Supergirl: "The Son of Bizarro"

This story is reprinted from Superman #140.

On the Bizarro World, Bizarro returns from his "Fourtriss Uv Bizarro" to Bizarro Lois. He is horrified to find that she has given birth to a baby that isn't ugly. Try as they might, the couple cannot make the Bizarro Baby adhere to the edicts of their society. Learning of the perfect Bizarro Baby, the people of Bizarro world demand that Bizarro get rid of his child. Bizarro complies to appease them by putting the child in a traveling satellite in space. After the crowd is pleased, Bizarro goes back into space to secretly retrieve the satellite but finds that it is gone.

The satellite crashes on the planet Earth and the Bizarro Baby is found by a couple who take the baby to the Midvale Orphanage. There, Baby Bizarro is named Buster and taken into the orphanage's care. When Linda Lee watches over the baby, she is shocked that the baby has super-powers just like hers and is running amok around the place. Changing into Supergirl, she tries to subdue the baby. When it flies into Metropolis, it attracts the attention of Superman and the two calm the baby and convince it to go back with Supergirl to the orphanage where she resumes her identity of Linda Lee to keep an eye on the Bizarro Baby. Superman then has a pair of robots disguised as a couple adopt the Bizarro child and Supergirl takes it to the Fortress of Solitude, where they occupy the boy with Krypto and other marvels.

Searching for his missing child, Bizarro learns and is upset with the fact that his baby is on Earth and has been accepted by his foe Superman. Trying to keep up with her school work, Supergirl does a science experiment in the Fortress while the Bizarro Baby sleeps. However, she uses too much power in her x-ray vision to heat the chemicals causing them to explode. When the dust clears, Supergirl is horrified to find that the Bizarro Baby has taken on the appearance of a true Bizarro. When the baby awakens he causes a ruckus in the Fortress, accidentally activating the duplicator machine that originally created Bizarro, and training it's beam on Supergirl, creates a Bizarro Supergirl. The Bizarro Supergirl becomes very possessive of Bizarro Baby and refuses to let Superman or Supergirl get anywhere near her. When Bizarro comes to Earth to collect his child, he finds that the Bizarro Supergirl will not let the girl go.

Going back to his home world, Bizarro gathers an army to attack Earth to get the baby back. Unable to get the baby free from Bizarro Supergirl, Superman dawns a suit of lead armor and goes to an asteroid where a cache of green Kryptonite boulders have been stored. Using the duplicator he creates a pile of Bizarro Kryptonite and uses it to turn back Bizarro's invasion force. Taking a chunk back to Earth, Superman uses it to weaken Bizarro Supergirl enough for them to take the baby back into their custody. Fleeing Earth, they are chased by Bizarro Supergirl, however she decides to wait on an asteroid to see where they take the baby in order to take it later. After returning Bizarro Baby to his family, Superman and Supergirl return to Earth. Along the way they see that the asteroid where Bizarro Supergirl hid on was the one with the pile of Bizarro Kryptonite, and that the rays from this Kryptonite killed her.

Synopsis for Supergirl: "The Secret Origin of Supergirl's Super-Horse"

This story is reprinted from Action Comics #293.

Supergirl learns that Comet has telepathic powers, by which he tells her of his origin. He was once Biron the Centaur in ancient Greece, and saved the sorceress Circe from an enemy sorcerer, Maldor. For this she gave him a potion intended to give him full humanity, but Maldor switched her potions and caused Biron to become all-horse instead. To make up for her mistake, Circe fed Biron (now Comet) another potion which gave him the speed, invulnerability, strength, immortality and telepathic power of the Greek gods. But, to complete his revenge, Maldor and his mentor cast a spell to exile Comet to the constellation Sagittarius forever. The rocket that sent Supergirl to Earth passed near the asteroid where Comet was imprisoned, shattered its force-field with repeller rays, and freed Comet. Later, after performing rodeo stunts with Linda Danvers, Comet helps Supergirl and Superman overcome alien invaders. Back at the ranch, Linda discovers that Comet has been sold to an animal trainer from Hollywood who intends to make him a sensation in Westerns.
