Abin Sur (First Flight)

Abin Sur was a member of the Green Lantern Corps and was assigned to space sector 2814.

History

His last mission was to infiltrate the criminal organization of Kanjar Ro. He was discovered by one of Kanjar's henchmen and was fatally wounded, but able to escape Kanjar's ship. He crash landed on Earth and used his ring to find a suitable successor. His ring helped find a native human of the planet Hal Jordan. After passing his ring to Hal and informing him that the Guardians of the Universe will come for him he died of his injuries.

In death he was mourned by many of his fellow corpsmen including Boodikka, Kilowog and Sinestro.
