Notes
- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the comic book stories considered to be set on Prime Earth. It is an adaptation of Bookworm. The original character was created by William Dozier, Larry Peerce, and Hendrik Vollaerts and first appeared in the episode "The Bookworm Turns" of the series Batman.
- Bookworm's real name in the Prime Earth continuity is a reference to one of the Bookworm's clues in the 1966 Batman episode "The Bookworm Turns". In the episode, Commissioner Gordon is given a traffic ticket signed by a supposed cop named A.S. Scarlet (badge number 1887). Batman figures out that the name A.S. Scarlet stands for the 1887 novel A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, which marked the first appearance of Sherlock Holmes.
