Ted Hardie

Ted Hardie started work in the Internet field at SRI and has since had leadership roles at the NASA Science Internet project, Equinix, Nominum, Qualcomm, Panasonic Research, Cisco, and Google. He was an Applications Area Director from 2003-2007 and served as Trustee of the Internet Society from 2007 to 2010. He was then selected for the Internet Architecture Board in 2014 and served as its chair from 2017 to 2020. He was re-appointed to the ISOC board in 2021, and he currently serves as its chair.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Yale and his doctorate from Stanford. He has been a Fulbright Fellow and a Yale-China Fellow, both in Hong Kong.
